Am I the real owner of the yacht? Yes, indeed. Owning a SYF grants you authentic ownership. You obtain a share in a yacht-specific LLC, as an owner. This is NOT a time share or membership plan. You are an owner of the vessel!
What’s the #1 benefit of fractional ownership? That’s simple —- why do you want to pay 100% for a boat but only use it a fraction of the time? It doesn’t make financial sense. Fractional ownership allows you to buy a portion of a luxury home for a fraction of the cost. 
Is financing available for my purchase? Yes, we provide integrated financing options for our buyers, while also accommodating alternative sources of capital such as home equity financing or cash.
Is fractional ownership like a time share? No, definitely not! Fractional ownership is actual ownership. You own a portion of the yacht. 
How often do I get to use my yacht? You have dedicated use one week per month. Your week rotates each year, so if you get Christmas week this year, then you won’t have it next year (but you may have President’s week, July 4th. 
Can I trade weeks with my co-owners?  Yes, definitely. Owners trade weeks constantly.
If I want to use the boat at the last minute, can I? Yes! This is our “space available” program. You can use the yacht for up to 3 nights if it is not otherwise being used. 
Is fractional ownership a new concept in yacht ownership? No, it’s not. If you do an internet search you’ll see many locations across the country that embrace fractional ownership.
Why is the fractional price for the owners combined 20% more than the market value of the vessel?  20% is standard in the fractional yacht world. The 20% represents the profit in the transaction for completing the LLC documentation and other related expenses. 
What post-sale services does SYF provide? We oversee all aspects of ownership, including management, LLC maintenance, tax-related documentation, and property tax payments for the first year.  The owners then will decide whether to keep SYF as the management entity, or use a different service. 
Who handles furnishings? SYF collaborates with professional interior designers to furnish each vessel elegantly, aiming to create luxurious environments for effortless living. After all shares are sold, then owners make decisions together about furnishings. 
What happens if a co-owner fails to pay or falls behind on bills? SYF assumes financial responsibility in case of owner defaults, protecting all owners.
If another owner damages the vessel, what steps are taken? Boats are inspected after each visit, and any damages beyond regular wear and tear are charged to the owner who last used the property.
Can I sell my ownership interest in the yacht? Yes, once all shares in your vessel are sold, you can sell your ownership interest at any time, setting your sale price.
Am I allowed to store personal items at home? Certainly, each owner has an exclusive storage area for personal items.
What policies must owners follow? Owners must follow the owner Code of Conduct, which prevents disruptive events.
Who is responsible for maintenance and upkeep?  In the first year MLF oversees these aspects, such as snow removal, landscaping, tree care, and gutter cleaning, through locally contracted professionals.
