ANDY KIMBEL _________________________________________________ Andy Kimbel sold his first boat, a new Cape Dory 33, in 1979, while also enjoying a career as a professional Pilot. Although he has logged thousands of hours flying for jet carriers and as a flight instructor, as he became more involved and successful in yacht sales and sailing, the passion to be on the water eventually won out over flying airplanes. Many of Andy's clients have come from the aviation industry. Andy brings forth over 35 years of experience in boat ownership, yacht brokerage and new boat sales. He grew up sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, the mid-Atlantic coastal waters and the Virgin Islands. Andy recently relocated to Southern California from the East Coast where he owned and managed a yacht dealership and brokerage firm based in Annapolis, and Newport RI with additional offices in several cities as far west as Chicago serving boat owners and yacht enthusiasts across North America and even parts of Europe. Andy created and hosts the Youtube show and talk radio show ”Boat Talk Live!” soon also to be cable TV show (www.boattalklive.com), where he along with various experts, discusses a wide variety of aspects having to do with boat ownership and life on the water. In addition, earlier in his career, Andy launched an online service where he supplied thousands of boaters across North America with an array of marine electronics and boating hardware with personalized attention provided to every client. Kimbel has vast experience in both brokerage and new boat sales in size ranges 35’ to 150’. He does not just sell boats, he shares a contagious passion for life on the water and has a strong commitment to cultivating long lasting relationships matching the most appropriate vessel to the new owner, providing personalized assistance and service every step of the way. When he is not enjoying life on the water, you are likely to find Andy enjoying his other professional passion of 28 years, touring North America and recording interpretations or self penned acoustic folk and blues music.
