Remarks
In 1934 Benjamin Hinckley purchased a small boatyard in Southwest Harbor in Maine and turned the production over to his son Henry R Hinckley after graduating from Cornell University with an engineering degree. The first sailing yacht was launched in 1938 and after the war in the 50's, twelve of the Bill Tripp designed wooden hull Bermuda 40 yawls were built. The first fiberglass Bermuda 40 was built in 1959 with production continuing until 1991 with over 200 of these classics yachts built.
"Black Irish" is an example of this infamous timeless design having been maintained to perfection and upgraded continually with a replacement Westerbeke diesel, new sails, new electronics and batteries and much more. Beautiful black hull with freshly varnished topside teak and painted non-skid decks. A must see exceptional pedigree yacht.
Exclusions
All personal gear; loose items; galley gear; CD's; charts; fishing equipment; tools; spare parts; supplies & items not specifically listed on equipment list specifications sheet.
