Accommodations and Layout
V berth with insert forward with private access to head that's also accessible from salon. Next aft to salon with C-shaped settee with double drop leaf table port and straight settee with pilot berth starboard. Further aft to C-shaped galley port, centerline companionway and nav table across starboard with quarter berth far aft of nav table.
Note flawless varnished mahogany interior with white overhead and curtains, hand laid teak & holly sole with beautifully done custom compass rose, new Espar diesel heater in salon (the new Espars are MUCH more reliable than the old ones!), numerous custom hand holds and cutouts (they did a masterful job on these, you can't tell what's original from Hinckley and what was just added), all hanging lockers have custom linings of cedar. 6'3 headroom.
Twin stainless steel sinks with hot/cold pressure water (with new Solaris 10 gal. hot water heater, AC/Webasto/engine fired), and a refinished backsplash and new manual fresh and salt water pumps, new Force 10 Eno Gascogne stainless steel gimballed three burner propane stove with oven and custom installation for removable Keurig coffee maker (neither the oven or coffee maker has never used and both installs are works of art in and of themselves!) and custom stainless steel grab bar, custom installed microwave oven with automatic ventilator fan, Seafrost 12V refrigeration system (2009) in deep icebox with custom-installed heavy duty folding handles, custom teak china storage cabinet.
Groco Model K-H head to holding tank with new SeaLect diverter valve and macerator pump, Earth Safe in-line treatment unit, all water and sanitation hoses replaced.
Two Furuno NavNet vx2 GPS color chartplotters (one at nav station, one in cockpit, these are GREAT units) with 14" NavNet TX Touchscreen displays and AIS receiver plus Furuno GPS 33 backup GPS receiver, Furuno 24 miles 4kW UHD digital radar, Robertson Simrad AP28 autopilot with linear drive motor and three remote controls (at nav station, under dodger and at binnacle), Furuno F150 depth/wind/boat speed multi function instrument at nav table, Furuno RD33 multi function unit on custom teak mount at binnacle, Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook laptop with Expedition routing software interfaced with GPS and autopilot with USB hub and charger, Icom M604 VHF radio with remote mic in cockpit and V berth, backup Icom VHF with emergency antenna installed in sail locker, two handheld VHFs (nav station and quarterberth, both mounted with wired charger and custom polished stainless steel guards), Irridium Sat Phone with external antenna on spreader, KVH FB150 Fleet Broadband Satcom system with antenna installed on dedicated stern pole, WAVE extended-range wifi system, mast-mounted hailer/fog horn, two handheld spotlights, red courtesy lights at companionway steps and in cockpit.
And note that if ALL these redundant electronics were to somehow fail, there's a custom storage compartment in the forward hanging locker for those things called "charts" that some of us remember...

110V AC / 12V DC. Thirty amp shorepower service with galvanic isolater, 200 amp/hour dedicated engine starting battery and an 880 amp/hour house bank (this is a huge house bank, DOUBLE the original capacity!) pus battery dedicated solely to VHF/Irridium/GPS systems 40 amp battery charger plus two engine alternators (65 and 180 amp AmpTech high output with Balmar smart regulator), 2000W four-stage inverter/charger with battery monitoring system (with an Argus battery monitor dedicated to engine start battery), Fischer Panda AGT 4000 on-demand DC generator with control panel/battery monitor.
Sails and Rigging
Quantum Fusion MC carbon aramid in-mast vertical batten in-mast furling mainsail with electric winch and Hood Stoway in-master furler (with new motor and other components), Quantum Marathon 100% jib on Reckmann RS2000 roller furler, plus the following Hood sails, none of them ever used:
100% Vectran working jib with two reef points, 145% 3DL furling genoa with canvas sock, A2 AirX 600 asymmetric racing spinnaker, A3 AirX 900 asymmetric racing spinnaker, A4 NorLon 150 asymmetric racing spinnaker, storm jib, Code 0 asymmetric spinnaker (this sail fits in between a genoa and the A3 spinnaker; it points higher than the A3 and can be used in heavier air) with Karver top-down furler (this furler alone was $5,000!), spinnaker staysail with Ronstan furler (the Ronstan is part of the removable inner forestay; both are in storage along with the Hood sails.
Awlgripped aluminum keel-stepped (on a custom tie-in base per offshore race regs)mast with single spreaders (this is the cruise-oriented rig) and 1x19 stainless steel standing rigging, custom gooseneck fitting (stronger than original), custom removable inner forestay and insulated backstay (with Navtec Series 8 hydraulic backstay adjuster), Harken tapered mainsheet and traveler rigged with XLS Extra-T low stretch line (plus traveler rebuilt to increase purchase to 7:1 with bearings, blocks, cam cleats and risers replaced with mainsheet re-routed under vang and a new cheek block installed on deck), Hall Quickvang rigid boomvang, two-piece boom preventer and boom brake, 3' custom retractable bow sprit (carbon fiber, with removable deck mounts and spectra bobstay), mast-mounted custom 23' Hall Spars carbon fiber spinnaker pole.
Two Barient #32 self-tailing winches, two Barient #28 self-tailing electric winches, single Barient #23 self-tailers, three Barient #24 self-tailers with all Barient winches serviced (2012), Lewmar EVO 45 electric winch, Spinlock alloy rope clutches, Merriman 4700 with wire rope for centerboard.
Deck and Hull
Hand laid cored fiberglass hull with centerboard and Airex cored decks, hull color is white (Awlgripped in 2005) with dark blue double boot stripes, gold leaf cove stripe and light green bottom paint over epoxy barrier coat, centerboard is fiberglass with bronze leading edge, rudder pulled, inspected and greased and lower bearing replaced.
Note that the boat was fit with a custom bow crash bulkhead, meaning that is case of a collision that damaged the bow, water intrusion would be confined to that area; this bulkhead, which is removable and very light, looks like something you'd see on a submarine! Not to mention that EVERY thru-hull is labeled and has the appropriate wood plug attached, you rarely see this kind of attention to detail...
Stainless steel bow and stern pulpits, heavy duty stainless steel stanchions with stainless steel double lifelines, custom stainless steel boarding ladder, four chromed Dorade vents all protected by polished stainless steel guards, custom covers for all exterior brightwork, cockpit cushions, all ports rebedded with new safety glass in 2009, heavy duty cockpit dodger with elkhide-covered grab rails, beautiful varnished teak cockpit table and custom helmsman's seats outboard of the cockpit on either side of the wheel (as well as being beautifully constructed of polished stainless steel and varnished teak, these are wonderfully functional to the point that you wonder why Hinckley didn't include them in the original design of the boat!), all exterior brightwork professionally done (most recently in late May, 2016) and shows flawless.
Lofrans 1500 chrome plated electric windlass (2009), #45 CQR anchor on bow roller with 25' of 5/16" anchor chain and 300' of line rode (marked every 50'), #20 Danforth anchor in chocks on deck. Salt and fresh water deck washdowns, removable lifting crane on stern.
Boat is fully equipped to meet or exceed ORC Category 1 Offshore Race Requirements--crash bulkhead in forepeak with custom carbon fiber hatch, Viking eight man self-righting offshore liferaft, ACR Cat. 1 auto-deployed 406 Mhz EPIRB mounted on stern carbon fiber antennae mast with a second ACR 406 Mhz EPIRB in the cockpit lazerette, Fyreboy auto fire suppression system installed in engine compartment with engine/generator/blower auto shutdown and secondary manual pull, SOLAS offshore flare kit, offshore medical kit, etc etc etc
Engine and Mechanical
Westerbeke 52 hp fresh water cooled diesel with 1,449 total hours, Monel fuel tank, Racor fuel filter, engine instrument panel replaced. Aquamet 22 stainless steel shaft thru PYI dripless shaft seal and bronze struts to three-bladed Max Prop.
Engine detailed and repainted, engine compartment insulated with Soundown throughout, Aqualarm cooling flow sensors/alarms and dual Racors with switchover manifold installed for both main and genset (with electric fuel transfer pumps and a fuel polishing loop with separate pump), Floscan fuel flow system installed, redundant Fyreboy automatic fire suppression systems installed, engine exhaust elbow replaced, heat exchanger boiled out, Max Prop serviced, Speedseal quick release impeller cover installed, all fuel oil and exhaust hoses replaced, fuel tanks drained and steam cleaned.
