This Cape Dory 31 was a dealer stock boat for its first year, then sold to the current owner who has had and enjoyed her since (so really a one-owner boat). She has been extremely well-maintained. All of her cushions and mattresses have been recovered and the interior is kept almost brand new. The Cape Dory 31 is regarded as a very capable yet easily sailed boat. Additions such as the autopilot, forced air heater, propane stove, and ample water supply make her a great cruiser.
Universal 25, 3 cylinder - no Hobbs meter though owner estimates only between 250 and 400 hours total run time. Even with this limited run time, the engine has been serviced regularly and the oil changed.

This boat has been kept in an almost as-new interior. There is no water staining from any deck fitting leakage. All the woodwork has the original finish with no maring, etc. ALL of the cushions and mattresses have been recovered with high-quality material to a standard even higher than original.
Forward is the main cabin with a V-berth, with a removable center infill piece. Drawers and a hanging locker are here for personal item storage.
The salon has two convertible seats easily making double berths. These seats are also fitted with lea-cloths for sailing passage security. The salon table also functions as a lea-board for the starboard seat when converted for sleeping.
The galley is aft, fitted with a top-loading large ice-box with a drain.
The owner upgraded the original alcohol stove to a gimbaled Force-10 propane stove with an oven.
The galley is completed with ample storage, a double stainless sink and good countertop room for food preparation.
The owner has installed a Wallas Marine Forced-Air kerosene heater with vents in the galley/salon, and head for comfort away from the dock. This heater will make the boat warm and toasty inside within minutes!
There is a custom spray hood for the companionway area only. Also, a custom seat that fits to one of the weatherboards makes for a comfortable protected place to sit in adverse weather.
Closed-cell foam cockpit cushions cover all seating while sailing or at the dock.
