The Nonsuch 33 is a unique pedigree, designed by Mark Ellis and built by Hinterhoeller Yachts in Canada.  She offering SIMPLICITY, SAFETY, and STABILITY along with SPEED, COMFORT and great RESALE VALUE !!  The Nonsuch 33 started production in 1988 and finished the line in 1996 with approximately 67 hull built.  "Gypsy Spirt" is defiantly a unique find, showing pride of ownership and meticulously maintained thru and thru.  A "Cat Rig" with unstayed mast and wishbone boom.  Powered by a Universal 30 hp, with a Max 3 blade feathering prop.  Both her interior and cockpit space can be found only on much larger boats.  Nexus Knot-Depth-Wind and Autopilot is within reach at the helm.  The admiral is very comfortable with a 2 cabin / single head layout below.  Cruisair Heat / Air will have you in total comfort, come summer or winter.

Accommodations

"Gypsy Spirt" is a traditional 2 cabin, single head layout.  Entering a centerline companionway, you find yourself in a remarkably spacious and well vented interior.  Full "U" shape galley to port companionway.  Adjacent to starboard is the Nav Station and access to a large quarter berth.   Moving forward to a very comfortable "U" shaped dinette with a "love" seat to starboard.  Forward is the master suite, with a double "pullman" berth, hanging locker and private access to a full head with separate shower area.  The head also can be access from the salon area.

Rigging and Sails

The Nonsuch 33 utilizes a simple, unstayed, single-mast cat rig, positioned forward in the bow of the boat. This design emphasizes ease of handling and less complicated sailing compared to boats with multiple sails.   The rig features an freestanding, tapered aluminum mast that doesn't rely on standing rigging for support. The sail is hoisted inside a wishbone boom, which is sheeted to the transom.  this wishbone boom acts like a vang, controlling the sail's foot and leech tension.

The Nonsuch 33 is designed by Mark Ellis for enjoyable and easy shorthanded sailing.
